I just started reading, "Factoring Humanity" by Robert Sawyer and I just wanted to say that I am disturbed that the book uses U of T and Toronto as the setting for all of it. :s
I know that doesn't make sense but well....screw you!
*goes back to reading*
Should I make another cup of tea? I've probably had a pot in total already.
I feel like a sandwich. Mmm..sandwich
Oh I changed my timetable and my program again. What else is new. ugh.
I am deeply conflicted, I'll tell you something. I didn't do well in my summer course at all. I don't know why. I have been searching my mind for days trying to figure out why I did so horribly. I mean, I know why I did so horribly, but *why* did I let myself do horribly. I came to some conclusions, did some practical thinking and my minor is now in Celtic Studies-focusing on the languages and archaeology there. Something I very much wanted to go into and couldn't decide between that and near eastern archaeology/languages. So I can do both. Don't ask me why too much, it's a long story and well, If I had a choice, I'd be studying a zillion programs. But the reason *why* why I did badly in this summer course, that determined whether or not I was going to do the enviro bio minor, made it clear to me the mistake I was making in doing that minor. Lets face it, we all know I am destined for grad school in my field. I know it. I can feel it. I know it is my path. I just try to ignore it sometimes because it is a hard path. Anyway....
should I take irish gaelic or standard arabic (mostly proper arabic-like books and newspapers and stuff-not colloquial)? They both fit into my schedule...bloody hell I can't decide. next year I am definetely taking Welsh. I take free scottish gaelic classes on Saturday already...and I am taking intermediate biblical hebrew and middle egyptian heiroglyphic this year too...
Languages is my thing. Especially ancient. I need to stay on that road.
