I worked an 8 hour shift today. I am numbed. I really don't have much to say now. I did buy some of my books today...I got Basics of Biblical Hebrew Grammar textbook and a small readings book for the course...on specific passages I guess we will be studying...and I picked up my ENV234 text book and all the notebooks I need--I particularily like the U of T notebooks because the covers never comes off. Um, also pens and pencils and stuff. I also picked up a dictionary for Scotch Grammar for my own personal enjoyment....okay I guess that sounded all wrong. Anyway, I have saturday gaelic coversation classes and I haev the text (teach yourself line, really good) but I needed a dictionary. And my employee discount made the entire stack of purchases quite nice. And-no-i-will-not-hook-you-up-lest-i-be-fired!!!
I actually just made a few purchases online at Chapters.ca for some of my books for my ancient near eastern religions class because they were waaaayy cheaper even with the discount added. But...trade-like books are generally like that. I cringed at charging my visa (the one I always keep nice and clear--FECKA YOU MBNA, YOU'RE GOING IN THE GARBAGE) but I can't avoid getting my textbooks forever...and better now and out of the way than when i'm busy starting school and working and the rush is on.

I lugged it all home. I worked out tonight...passed out on the couch..all of those good things.
I'm trying to figure out how to visit home for the weekend. I have friday off, sunday off, and monday off...frig! I work saturday! I need a few days together in order to go home. I've been trying to switch with someone with my shift but no luck. I don't know what to do..I'm too scared to talk to my manager because I already called in sick once and asked for 2 days off (for my exam)...and I don't want to start seeming like i'm unreliable...ahrhghg.
I'm going to go read now for an hour before I go to bed and repeat the cycle of getting up at 6:30 and going to work. More tea, I think.
