Hello and good day Sept. 2, 2004!
School begins for us Ontario university students in 7 days!! Can you feel the excitement? One week left!!
....Okay well at least *i'm* excited! and a little over eager. I've been reading my course books and reviewing my biblical hebrew in anticipation for my intermediate biblical hebrew class. I might pick up a copy of Gardiner's Middle Egyptian from the library tomorrow, too, so I can get a head start. My extra studies on Polish and Gaelic are picking up, too. Mostly all of this because due to bloody well nearly breaking my toes on my left foot, I have been off sick from work for 2 days in a row! I was slightly angered about it because I really need the money, but I do enjoy being at home (lots to do as you can see! plus my other work), I really am not complaining. I have fridays off and I work again on Saturday. I think I will be okay to go for that shift with no problem. But as far as being able to stand for hours on end right now, my foot won't have it.
I got a weird fever in the middle of the night that I smashed my toes into that wooden post.....made me sickish all the next day. It was weird.

That is about all I can enthrall you with for now.
I got up at 6:30am and got in the shower and all of that stuff and then realized that I was still in no shape for work, called in, and slept for 30 minutes and then had breakfast and proceeded about my day. Did an hour of work. Walked the dog as best as I could...ie. I brought him to the dogpark area and he played with the gardener there that he just loves (and the gardener loves neron too) and with some funny chow chow dog. Made some low fat carrot muffins , had that with tea while reading
The Tain --an 8th century tale from the Ulster Cycles in Ireland...it fills an entire book..it's long. That is for my celtic literature course...then I read a chapter from my new biblical hebrew text. I like this textbook better than my last one, it is more detailed and explains things better. I am reviewing all of the chapters that pertained to what we did last year so that I walk into class refreshed and ready to go.

..............why don't I just change my name to Hermoine Granger
:s
I gotta go. I'm disturbed.

Oh hey, I need ideas. I am planning the NMCUSA opening year social. I think I'm going to have it at the GSU pub and make it a 5 bucks all you can drink thing --an idea shamelessly stolen from the ASA, anyway, and use what I have in the budget for catering and prizes and some sort of event--that way the drinks are taken care of and I don't have that expense and can concentrate on other stuff. See, the main theme of this social is to get students that are not involved to GET involved and come out and meet friends and etc. I know that is what everyone wants but is the hardest thing to do. Everyone gets in their little groups of people they know and chat away, leaving those new people wanting to leave. I've been there. I hate it, too. I need an idea for this social so that new people feel comfortable and get to meet people easily. I was thinking of maybe some sort of jeapordy game? you know..haha...Name that Pharaoh...haha something fun...how do i go about it..what does everyone think, anyone have any other ideas? I know none of you are NMC but socials are socials. What are some good prize ideas.

Well, that's all for now.
Nothing much else today except recovering still...going to play D&D skirmish game tonight with Rob. Since I don't have to work tomorrow, we don't have to end the game before it actually ends. Sometimes the games are loong.
