My weekend was so exciting. I did homework the entire time.
Saturday I worked out, tidied up, and walked the dog (Neron was so completely sore from doggy daycare yesterday that he could barely walk this morning!! he looked like an old dog, it was hilarious. poor guy). I went to the Earth Sciences library after breakfast/lunch, with Rob, and we studied until supper. I managed to get my Middle Egyptian done and I briefly studied for my Hebrew quiz on Monday....got some review work done on my ceramic petrology class (which i am going to refer to as such, being that Polarized Light Microscopy for Archaeology is a pain in the ass to refer to) and I found a few useful books in the stacks regarding petrology (or petrography for the American term..). I was really confused with what "twinning" or "relief" and such meant. It helped clear it up somewhat, but I'm going to go back for those books this week. I am not checking any books out because I think I owe U of T Libraries money and yeah....
Dinner didn't serve anything good. I was annoyed. But they had these fricking good oatmeal raisan cookies and so I had one with tea-since I hadn't had any sweets the entire week.
At home, I did some Mesopotamian Mythology readings and then spent the rest of the night struggling with my Hebrew translations. Fiddle sticks. I'm going no where fast. Not even 1/2 done and it's supposed to be done for Monday!
Sunday, today, I again, got up, worked out, tidied up, took dog for walk and then went off for breakfast/lunch. My usual meusli, orange slices, banana, tea, muffin...we went to Robarts library after sitting around in the New lobby for an hour just reading, since the stupid libraries don't open until 1pm. We stopped off at a convenience store along the way because Rob was not feeling his best this weekend and needed a few packages of those pocket kleenex. At Robarts, I immersed myself in my Hebrew translations. Frustrated with how crappy the first 5 verses out of 24 I have to do, were, I tore the page out of my notebook and decided to start over again. Arhg. This time, with a nice black ink pen (what's the term for them?...not the usual bic ones..the..er..anyway) I copied out each verse at a time in the Hebrew and did my translations underneath for each, carefully going through every word and scribbling my parsing under the Hebrew. Granted, it took me bloody well almost 3 hours to do 4 verses, the translations are better. I'm still missing some words though and I so I have some blank spots. Sure sure, I could look it up in the Old Testament, you say, but it doesn't work like that. Just trust me. Checking the literal translation is only good to make sure your finished translation is good. But anyway, I managed to do some readings for my Celtic Literature course afterwards but we went off to dinner pretty quickly. Nothing as much interesting to eat again. I am starting to get annoyed. I had some crispy chicken with vegetables and rice-which i didn't eat the rice (not a fan of rice...) and peeled off the "crispy" part of the chicken so I just had a chicken breast. Much better! and chicken soup and carrots and orange juice. Small bowl of cereal and tea for dessert.
Back home, took the dog for a nice walk and blah blah blah, here I am in my pajamas tired. I am tempted to rest for a bit but no, I have Prehistory of the Near East readings to do (arh360) and more Hebrew to tackle...and celtic literature...I have a feeling that nothing else but Hebrew is going to occur. :s I need a miracle to have 24 verses translated by the end of tonight. I have 19 more to go!!!
As you can see, an incredibly exciting weekend.
I don't know how people can fit in "lives" with their homework load. You must relay your secrets to me.
