Three Weeks Left!!!

So the heat is still pissing me off and any thoughts about the chip truck, but beyond that things are quite great, really.
I mean, not that I do much. Here's another blog post that is supposed to enthral you will everything I'm doing this summer. Hey, you say, your posts are long discussions focusing mainly on school - how dull is that. Like anyone wants to listen to a banter about lectures, homework, the library and DC++ addictions. Surely the summer would be refreshing!!

How WRONG you were.

Given my financial strain (only working 3-4x a week to pay off my credit card bills from term) and all the time in the world to write and read novels, plus the blasted accounting work I have to do for my dad...what the hell else would I do?
Honestly, you have no idea how I can barely fit everything into one day! Writing a few chapters a day is taxing, though rewarding because my craft is slowly getting better - but don't bother me while I'm writing; I became very irritated and you're likely to recieve waspish retorts as a result. What am I writing? I've actually put aside my original works for now because I decided that I wanted to clear my mind and work on my writing itself - I know fan fiction sounds weird, but a lot of respectable writers praise it. A world with characters already created for you: all you have to do is use your imagination and try to capture the characters. It's really rewarding in terms of practice.

You can read the few I've been working on at :

Laura's Lame-Ass FanFiction

Anyway....my foot is still kinda wonky...Doubt I'll be competing in the Sarnia Highland Games now :(
But I might...still thinking about it.

Only a couple more soccer games left so I'm just going to tough it out and hope my foot doesn't er, collapse on me. haha.

....anyway....that's all for now...I guess. My lab has been finding baseballs in the corn field now. He scares the crap out of me because he runs into them and I don't know if he is going to get lost! And then he happily bounds out with a new baseball. Yeesh. I wish he'd have that sort of dedication to help us find htings in the house. (baseball diamond by the cornfield in the park at the back of my house--if you are confused.)

Oh, the song playing today is: Above you, Below you, by Badly Drawn Boy...
